Recycle your old cell phone for cash

By Sue Perry on April 23, 2009 12:01:00 am

Greenearth So you've just sprung for the cool 3G iPhone. Now what do you do with your old clunker? You can help Planet Earth and trade it in for cash or donate the current cash value to your fave charity by going to FlipSwap. And the best part: You can upgrade without adding to the problem of e-waste. This site sends the old phones to certified recycling places—and they even  pay your postage for sending it in!

For more on how and where to recycle other broken down electronics products like computers, TVs, and even those mercury-laced CFL light bulbs check out our Greener Choices Web site and our Home blog.

Take care of the Earth!
