Tips for bridal shower shopping without going broke

Get_thumbnail-3 It’s wedding season in my world—I have four weddings coming up and lots of shopping to do for the showers. But I’m a bit of a bridal shower veteran. In fact, I’m considering going pro with my “bridal bingo” and “name that spice” skills—and I actually love shopping from the registry for the gift (when else does someone tell you the exact gift they fell in love with at the store? It makes life so much easier!).
Here’s an easy money-saving trick that I learned from my mom, which lets me buy a gift that I like and pick a gift that fits my budget:
Check the bride’s registry before you receive the shower invite. Brides often register a few months before their shower.
You can check sites like the Wedding Channel if you think your fave bride-to-be (and groom!) registered at multiple places. They might've registered at one (or more!) of these shops: Crate and Barrel, Macy’s, Amazon,  and Bed Bath and Beyond.
Shopping early offers you a bigger selection and gifts at many different price points. You also can avoid overnight shipping charges (because you waited until the last minute to buy the gift!) or you can pick something that is in stock and completely avoid paying for shipping. Bonus tip: This trick also works for baby showers!
