Loyalty programs take another hit

New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has taken up the fight against sneaky online club memberships.

His office is investigating 22 such online businesses, and has sent subpoenas to them regarding their deals with the three major companies that offer these discount programs: Webloyalty, Affinion/Trilegiant, and Vertrue.

We’ve been writing about them for a couple of weeks, and now we know we’re not alone.

Our advice stays the same: Think before you click!
