MyShape is a 6-year-old online boutique that's packed with cool designer finds selected to fit your body. With my 4-foot-11-inch frame, it is nearly impossible to find flattering jeans. After scouring malls, vintage shops, and online retailers, to no avail, I’ve become MyShape-dependent!
Here's why it's so cool: Founder Louise J. Wannier’s goal was to find clothes that both fit well and flatter each of our body shapes.
MyShape.com sets up an online retail store created for your body shape. After entering your measurements, your Personal Shop selects clothing matched to your measurements, your body shape, and your fit preferences.
I snagged a cute little black BCBGMAXAZRIA dress for just under $100, and my Personal Shop picked out the best size for my shape M body! The body shapes are each a letter (hey, they spell out MyShape!)
MyShape even keeps you up to date on styles and trends for your shape, and has pre picked outfits based on your lifestyle or style profile. Once you’ve determined your body shape and favorite pieces, you can build your own outfits using the outfit builder.
Because shopping with a buddy is helpful, be sure to check out the community page to view outfits created by people with your shape, or to just get great styling tips. You can even invite your friends via e-mail to view your Personal Shop and get feedback on pieces you’re considering.
