January is my birthday month, and I’ve been stockpiling “gifts” from my favorite retailer loyalty programs. So far, I’ve received a $3 birthday gift coupon from CVS, a free product opportunity from The Body Shop (I chose a regular-size Body Butter), one free automatic investment plan credit from ING, 15 percent off my next purchase at Crabtree & Evelyn and at Loehmann’s and a $10 coupon with no minimum purchase at my local pharmacy. Plus, I’ve got Fresh’s Sugar Kisses Mini Lip Duo waiting for me at the checkout at Sephora.
Woo hoo!
All that loot certainly helps take the sting out of getting another year older. So far, I like the Body Butter best because that’s the only one I’ve had a chance to cash in on.

With many loyalty program birthday benefits, you don’t find out what they are until your birthday, as in, if you join, we’ll send you a birthday gift. But let’s “out” them. A free cheddar burger at RED ROBIN! Yummm! (and of course that INCLUDES all the steak fries I could squeeze in!)

Best birthday "freebie" was 3 years ago when I got a free appetizer from Chili's, a free entree from Red Robin Burgers,a free entree from Ghengis Grill, a free chocolate fondue from Melting Pot & a free dessert from Logan's Roadhouse. I went through all the restaurants, got everything to go & had a feast that was shared with my housemates. It was awesome! The next day, I used my free Starbucks & my free massage from my physical therapist. It was a truly great birthday!
