Some people are obsessed with diets, always looking for the next new food craze to whittle down their waistlines. Me? I’m obsessed with organizers, always hoping to find the magic bullet to whittle down my piles and tame my messy closets and drawers. And trust me, this quest has cost me a bundle over the years.
My house is filled with pretty, stylish organizers to hold all sorts of things from out-of-season sweaters to a huge stash of European shelter magazines that I can’t seem to part with. But then one day, I stumbled on some cheap, chic DIY solutions to corralling stuff—and I’m not the handy type.
So to see if these ideas were really do-able, we turned them into the article, “Organizing on the Cheap,” on page 22 of the March issue, on newsstands now. We even found store- bought versions of the stuff we made ourselves to solve your organizing problems. We figured out the savings you can reap if you just use a little creativity and some supplies you probably have lying around the house.
Check them out, and if you have some DIY ideas you’d like to share, let us know what you did and how you did it!

I am also obsessed with organizing. My friends will open a cabinet and say you're out of control. This is me. I will say I love the OXO pop containters. Plus I love to use a label maker to mark everything and I also installed pull out shelves. So when I pull out the shelf everything is marked on top and I do not have to go through each containter to see what's in it, plus it looks nice.
Have a Great Day
